Alexandra Kirtley, will address the Philadelphia area painted furniture of the early 1800’s. Her presentation will cover the makers, patrons and the space in which this extraordinary and unrivaled furniture was used. We will learn the significance of its design, creation and history and its place in the landscape of early America. Current conservation treatments will also be discussed.
